crib bumper wont fit :(

I got the Davinci Kalani crib, and in the highest setting, the bumper is too tall to attach to the front of the crib.  If anyone else has this crib/has had this issue, how did you fix it??!  I paid wayy too much for my bedding set not to use it, and it's super cute.

    OUr crib bumper is tall with the mattress up high too, but I'm not planning on using it anyway because of all the dangers with crib bumpers. If your bumper is so high that it makes the sleeping area a true pit with no air circulation, you shouldn't use it. I plan on putting the bumper on when the mattress goes all the way down.

    How are the ties attached? maybe you can detach them and sew them in the proper spot? GL.

    I think I am going to wait until the crib mattress gets moved down to put it into the crib.  She will be in the bassinet for a while, the crib is more for looks at first.
