What are your plans for Mothers Day?

What big plans to you have planned for your first Mothers Day.

We are going to be travelling back from a wedding so nothing for us, need to live through you girls.

    Nada.  In fact, I'll be shocked if DH remembers it's Mothers Day.  I'm sure I'll get a card from my mother, grandmother, sister, and BFF - and a blank stare from DH.

    sleep in, sleep in, maybe a hike or picnic and a nap!   hubby is in charge of the kids that day.    the friday before i am hosting a cinco de mayo (late) deck party just for mom's and figure we can celebrate mothers day a bit early too--ah margarita's with some girl friends!!!  

    my gift if my children-some day i'd like a really nice piece of jewelry with their birthstone--garnet (lucky me both Jan. babies!)  but this year i'll take sleep and some time to myself!

    Probably just breakfast in bed and then I'm gonna go hang out with my mom.  DH has a side job for most of the day but I'm happy with breakfast in bed, hopefully i don't have to remind him.

    Oooo! Oooo! Me me!

    DH, DD and I are going to Ocracoke for a week where MIL and my niece and nephew she's raising (long story) will meet us and stay, too. I don't know if MIL's long-term live-in BF will be coming yet.

    Anyway, my parents live close to the Outer Banks, so one day I'm going to meet my mom and let her take Francesca home with her for a day/night to give myself and DH a break (her first time staying away from mommy and daddy). Then we'll meet on Mother's Day (everyone) for a nice lunch or dinner.

    I'm so ready for this vacation, it's ridiculous! Party!!!

    My mom's birthday is May 11th and she wants to spend her birthday weekend with Tegan. So, they will be coming here and so hopefully my day will take both of us out to dinner for Mother's Day. I know my mom will get me something and my DH will as well, but only if I remind him, lol!

    My family almost always gets together for Mothers Day (I have 7 sisters and 4 of them are mommies + our mom) but we are so tight on $ right now that I don't think we can afford the gas money unfortunately, so we'll probably do nothing. Maybe go to church...

    I have to admit I'm a little depressed that we won't be doing anything for my first Mother's Day.

    Ya know a hike or a picnic sounds really nice. Maybe we can do something like that since it wouldn't cost any $

    I told DH I want to take the kids up to Chicago.  It's only an hour away, and we haven't been there since before Adleigh was born.  I miss the city.  I'm guessing his mom is going to be mad.  Oh well.  She gets DH every saturday to help her with yardwork, so I get him on Mother's day.

    I envy you!  We could never do that!  My MIL is so competitive, she wouldn't want to share the kids at all.  My parents live 1700 miles away so we don't ahve to worry, though.
