Cost of Renting a Breast Pump?

Can you give me estimates on how much it cost to rent a hospital-grade breast pump?  I know every hospital is different...but I would just like a cost range.  I don't want to go buy a pump and BF not work at all. Thanks! :) Plus I'm having twins and I would like to BF as long as I can...

  • I think my hospital was going to charge $35/month, but I chose to go ahead and buy my own. I didn't have any luck with breastfeeding my twins but I was determined to get them the breastmilk and this is the only way we've been able to do it. Good luck!!!

  • The place I rented from was $50/month if you do month-to-month but was $150 for 6 months.  I ended up renting one month and getting my own (both Medela so the parts I had purchased also worked for the one I got)

  • My hospital charges $1/day = $50 deposit + puchase of personal parts ($50).  I decided to go with an Avent Isis for $30 at Walgreen's and once I knew BFinf was working out for us I went ahead and got the Medela FreeStyle.
