Hi ladies,
We are in the process of buying a house and I know that the house we buy will require lots (but not major) remodeling. For example:
1) Add on storage space (above garage or closet space in master bedroom)
2) Entire house interior paint
3) Possible flooring changes
4) Bathroom remodeling (all hardware, paint, fixtures, etc)
5) Kitchen remodeling (minor)
Anyway you gals get the idea. I am thinking that I just want to contract out to 1 general manager who can sub-contract the work for me as I don't have the leads to work with different contractors for different things.
Therefore, do you have any that you can recommend? Also what is the norm for their fees in this regard? Thank you all in advance! Please provide their name, phone and website if possible. Oh and also how do you know they are good, etc.

UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD YOU USE:

(They're out of San Jose, I believe.) The guy SET OUR HOUSE ON FIRE and then threatened to sue us for it!

Yes, the location is East Bay. South Fremont/Milpitas area. Thanks!
In case you don't find a general, for flooring, I heart Romele Floor-Medics. It's a flooring installation company but you can buy the product directly from them. They'll come to your house with samples. They'll travel all over the bay area. Just a warning, he's so professional, he'll ruin you for all other contractors!! Hahaha! Meaning, they don't talk down to women and they clean up after themselves.
