I just wanted to say that I love that house in the blog you posted yesterday. I had never read that blog before.
My personal style is a little more traditional than that of the blogger, but man.. the before and afters are inspirational! Seriously, after K went to bed last night I was rummaging through craigslist, ebay and the sales section of pottery barn, looking for great deals. I now want to redecorate my extra bedroom.
Any other online decorating sites you suggest?
Where do you get a lot of your home decor?
Love it!
Re: **Amanda** I've got the decorating bug again.
Thanks girl! Young House Love is a great DIY home blog with lots of inspirational projects...but I agree with you, their designs are a little more modern than my personal taste.
I have a whole grouping of decorating blogs I follow...are you ready for the laundry list? (C&P from my blogger profile-should be linked)

A lot of my mirrors are from Hobby Lobby (wait for their 50% off sales), and home accents are from all over the place:TJ Maxx, Home Goods, At Home (in Homewood), Walmart, Target...lots of stores where I find goodies, but I also try to DIY when I can.
Thanks so much Lydia! I'm really starting to feel "nested" incorporating all the baby stuff (and trying to keep my house from becoming colorfully plastic!). Hope some of those sites give inspiration

I agree! If you're ever bored and need an extra project or two, my house could use some help!
This. I have zero decorating ability.
I'm not at a point where I could do it yet time-wise, but I'd like to start doing mood boards for a portfolio...it's where a designer looks at a room/or photos, tries to gauge someone's lifestyle/decorating tastes/etc, then creates a mockup using fabric samples, furniture suggestions, artwork, accessories, etc and a suggested layout.
Just as a decorating suggestion:
When I was furnishing and styling this house, I bought a plain spiral sketchbook and began ripping out pages in magazines with decorating ideas, colors, fabric samples and put everything together according to the room type (kitchen, living, dining room, etc). It really helped me organize my thoughts and ideas visually.
