When can I put DD in just the stroller?

We have the chicco travel system. When we are out I just put her car seat in the stroller.

Tonight I'm taking her to a bbq on campus where I work. When can I put her in just the stroller? H asked me this last night and I didn't really know what the guildlines are on this.

We have the same travel system and we just started using the stroller by itself...but she's actually still a bit small for it. it seems like it doesn't really tighten enough ...we have only used it twice and only to walk around the block

We've been putting DS in just his stroller for a while now (maybe since mid/late March). You can adjust how upright the seat is in our stroller, so we were able to lean it back a bit so DS wasn't flopped forward. This morning I put him in it and set him completely upright and he did great.

I wondered this same thing. We have the same travel system and when I tried to see if DS would fit in there the straps went too high on him. He is pretty long so I thought he might fit but even at the lowest spaces they were too high.

We have that travel system also and have been putting ds in just the stroller for a while. The straps are much too big, but as long as he is not upright it is not an issue.
