This may sound like a stupid question, but I have to ask. Did you bleed after your babies were born? Since you didn't give birth vaginally, I was wondering if you had to deal with heavy bleeding.
The bleeding comes from your uterus. Where the placentas were attached. At least this is what I understand.
Blech.
The first time I got out of bed after my c/s (it had been 24 hours), it was like a bloodbath. Oh my god. So disgusting. Be forewarned. No one told me. Blech.
yes - but compared to my vaginal birth - it was hardly anything.... the nurse told me that they can scrape out a lot more with a c/s- hence, why i was only spotting after the first day. The day of the c/s i had a LOT of blood- but really- the next day- and on- it was only spotting.
occasionally if you do a lot one day, even when you are just spotting- you might bleed more- this is common... but for me - mostly about 5 weeks I spotted VERY little - i didn't even wear a pad much of the time- it wasn't enough to get on my undies even.
Yup, and not to scare you, but I JUST finished bleeding. I had a light bleed every single day for 3.5 months, the first couple weeks were a little heavier.
My case is not regular, so I was freaking out, but have seen my OB where we did an internal plus ultrasound and there was no reason for my bleeding. My uterus was just sort of "cleansing" after the birth.

Yes. During a vaginal delivery, it's not your looloo that bleeds, it's your uterus cleaning itself out and getting back to a clean slate. No matter how you deliver, you're going to bleed (sorry to burst the bubble, it'd be nice).
Yes, and I wasn't prepared for it. I read somewhere to take all the disposable undies you can from the hospital. This was golden advice. I even washed mine and am still a little embarrassed by how long I wore them (super comfy)!
definitely. be sure to have pads at home. It wasn't as long if it had been vaginally (for me anyway) I was able to use a regular pad a few days after I got home. But i was in the hospital for a week and it was very heavy there.

This....and it was pretty light. Lighter than a period. Let's hope I'm that lucky again.
Good luck!
