I have a few things on my facebook set where only family and sorority sisters can see them.
I noticed that ther is now a link called "public profile" automatically in my profile. When you click it then anyone can see everything.
This really makes me mad. I can't figure out how to get rid of it, and I don't want Sally's best friend from high school looking at my pictures.
Re: What is this public profile bvllshit with facebook?
I can't see your pictures, and I don't see a link.
Maybe it just shows you your "public profile" but not with the security settings you have.
Argh.
I just had my coworker log in and she can see all of my pictures now.
I swear Facebook has started to annoy me.
I don't see a link. Where is it on the page?
I only have like 3 albums, but I am still annoyed.
She can see them, but you guys can't.
*sigh*
Oh well. It isn't a super huge deal. I just don't want creepers looking at photos of me on my honeymoon.
Well, thank goodness you have everyone here blocked. Buncha creeps.
If your friends with a "creeper" you should probably delete them. As long as all of your privacy settings are set to have "only friends" see your info you should be good.
No I mean when my coworker went to my profile there was a new link called "public profile." When she clicked it then up came all of my photos which only about 15 people can see.
I guess there was a link on my page in the websites section? I can see it on my page now, but it wasn't there until I just logged in a few minutes ago.
Is that making sense?
Like it initially took her to the page without photos, but when she clicked the "public profile" link it took her to a different page with the photos and a link to my twitter account.
I can't figure it out. She's still getting the other info, and I double checked to make sure that I still only had it available to family & my pledge class.
I think I'll just take my pictures down. I don't like the idea that anyone could be looking at them.

Ditto Thusa - if you don't want someone to see your stuff, don't accept them as a friend.
*sigh*
I am just really careful with my photos. Other than that I don't really care.
I remember reading something about a girl posting pictures and them getting sent to her boss, etc. That makes me extremely cautious.
Um, Prep? What kind of pictures do you have on there that you would be ashamed for your boss to see?
Yeah I just wouldn't put pictures on that you don't want people to see. It's as simple as that.
Wedding photos, honeymoon photos, and some from a friend's wedding.
It really isn't anything bad or weird. I've just read too much about people stealing them, sending them to bosses, etc etc. Literally 15 people could see them {they are all deleted now}. Not even my non-pledge class sorority sisters could.
I am just weird about pictures. It is why I never got into Webshots or any of those sites. If there was a way Facebook would protect them I would care less. They even use people's photos in ads, and if you post them they retain the rights even if you cancel your account.
