donating clothes

where do you donate your clothes?  to people that you know, salvation army, etc?

ETA: I am talking about adult clothing, not baby clothes.

    Usually salvation army or other thrift stores.  Purple hearts sometimes picks up stuff - that's really convenient

    If there still good clothes and wearable, I generally give them to my friends.  Usually the pants shirnk up after so many washings and a friend of mine gets those hand-me-downs.  A lot of stuff I give away is still pretty nice, my mom gets some of my stuff too. 

    If it's something that no one is interested in I donate it to Jesse's Place or a local Thrift Store called the Foundry.  I usually just take my donations to the place and hand em over.  We sometimes use those little dontation boxes that are set up at random shelters and thrift shops.

    Hanna Home/King's Ranch will pick up in the greater B'ham area...that's who we always donate our stuff to...their number is 856-1234 if anyone is interested.
