Andrew's last name

I regret giving Andrew his dad's last name. Several people have called him Andrew mylastname and I never correct them because I love hearing it. I have never once used his full name because I hate that he has his dad's name. Anyone else whose LO has a different last name did you ever feel like this and do you feel better about it now? I am hoping that I will start feeling better about his name.

My DDs have their dad's last name... I guess because I was still married when DD#1 was born that even though we were separated when DD#2 was born I wanted them to have the same last name. Plus I never switched last names when I was married so I never had the same last name anyway....

DS has his dad's last name. I don't regret it, but I do have to correct people sometimes. If he were to take my last name then when I get married DS wouldn't have my last name, or his dad's so that seems weird to me!

I'm sorry, and I am right there with you. I gave lo's their dads last name. We were still together then and now I want to have it changed. I was dumb though and got their initials tatooed on my foot. (They have the same initials.) My mom was so mad. She is like what if you get married one day and he wants to adopt them, now you have that forever.
