Hello everyone. My name is Rachel, I'm kind of new here, I used to come on here alot but I didn't post much. Now I actually have a reason to post
.
I just found out that I'm pregnant after almost a year of trying! I'm about 5 weeks along and Dh and I could not be more thrilled.
I do have a question for those of you who live in Broward County (I'm in the Tamarac/Coral Springs area myself) which Ob/gyn did you see? And would you recommend him/her?
I have a doctor now that I've been seeing for about 4 years and she is great as a gyn and I didn't think I would want to switch doctors. But now that I'm pregnant I just want to have other options. I haven't seen my doctor yet for this pregnancy, I actually haven't even gotten an appt yet because it has been impossible to. I've been calling since last week and their OB coordinator still has not gotten back to me, which kind of worries me.
So any recommendation would help
Thanks! and I hope to stick around this board

Hi there!
When I first moved to Coral Springs about 9 years ago I started going to Dr Linda Green. All of my check-ups were with the NP Jo who I loved. I got tired of the long waits EVERY time I had a check up even though they were usually for the first appointment of the day or after lunch and asked Jo if there was any particular reason. She said that it was because Dr Green takes a lot of high risk patients so her schedule got very crowded sometimes. Jo recommended Dr Carole McKenzie, so I switched to her.
I liked Dr McKenzie and her partner Dr Anila Wahid and felt well cared for before and during my pregnancy They rotate weekend on call duty with 4 other doctors, and as luck had it Dr Green was the one on call the Friday night that my son was born. She was fantastic through the delivery. I would happily recommend any of them as an OB.
Oh good! If for some reason I need a c-section (really praying that I won't), I would really want to try for a vbac my second time.
my mom had one with my sister so I always thought it was pretty normal to have a vback, but now I realize that so few doctors do them.
Thanks for the tip.
