Labor Doulas Rec
Hi Everyone-
I wanted to know what your experiences were with labor doulas in Pittsburgh. I'm due in 6 weeks and would really like to find a good one. I'd like to hear your experiences (both good and bad!) and any recommendations that you have.
Our insurance will pay for a doula if they are from the Birth Circle Doulas group. Has anyone used them? Can you recommend someone in particular in that group that would be good? We aren't opposed to paying out of pocket if someone else would be better.

I swear by Amy from Blessed Arrivals! She and her sister are fantastic and I wouldn't have gotten the birth experience that I wanted without her. She'll be right there with me when my twins are due this summer as well. I can't imagine doing it without her!
She's also a fantastic source of information both pre and post baby! Amy is also a breastfeeding counselor so working with her also gets your help in that department if needed. Her website is www.blessedarrivals.com
