Hi ladies! My name is Tery and I'm new to the Bump. I was a Knottie (turtlebride06) about 4 years back when I was planning my wedding. I met some wonderful girls on there.
So now its time! My hubby and I have started trying and I'm super excited! I was disappointed to learn that my Dr. is no longer delivering and so I must search for a new OBGYN. Some really big shoes to fill as my current doc is AMAZING! Shes kind and caring and so calming. I've been through some scares this last year and she managed to keep me sane which is a tall feet So I'm looking for a female OBGYN. I live smack dab between South Miami and Baptist Hospitals in Kendall. I would SO appreciate any names. I would like to meet a few. My doc says she can take me through my first trimester and seeing as I'm not pregnant yet I'm not in a rush so I can take my time and meet a few before choosing.
Thanks in advance! I'm really excited to be back on here. This has all changed so much! Congrats and good luck to all!
Re: Newbie here. Looking for a referral.
Hi Tery
I starting knotting after you got married but I remember hearing about you from all the girls
I'm a huge turtle fan so the name stuck out.
Congrats on starting to TTC! Wishing you lots of luck!
My OB is Dr. Spencer Kellogg and he is out of Baptist. I think he's absolutely awesome. His nurses tell me he's one of the busiest Dr's in the practice so sometimes it takes about 4 weeks to get your first appt. After that it's MUCH easier.
A couple of the other girls on here see him as well.

Mrs.HisOnly. I'm glad to run into another knottie! Turtles are my thing! If it wasn't cause I don't want my child to be teased for life Id name my child turtle! LOL!! Na just kidding but I do love those turtles!
Congrats to you and your hubby on your expected bundle of joy. I can't wait to get there too!
Thanks for the info on your doc, I'll keep it in mind but I'm really looking for a female doc. But you never know!
See you around!
Tumpkin thanks for the info. I will definitely check her out. That is SUPER close to my home and would be awesome!
By the way Noah is absolutely adorable!!! Congrats.
You'll love her. Again, she's awesome!!! The number is: 305-412-6004.
And thanks for the compliment.....he's too much for me to handle.
I don't have a referral for a female OBGYN but I did want to say welcome
We are also going to start trying to conceive in a month. If you ever consider a male doctor then I would recommend Dr. Jose Iparraguire he works and delivers out of Baptist. I have been going to him for years and absolutely love him.
Good Luck in finding someone you feel comfortable with.
Hi Tery! So glad to see you here!
I second Dr. Kellogg. I also had a female doc, but learned that she didn't deliver babies. Most of my female coworkers go to his practice either with him or one of the other docs. They all deliver at Baptist. I went to Dr. Kellogg a little hesitant b/c it was my first time with a male ob/gyn, but I have to say that he is amazing! I was actually able to see him right away. I didn't have to wait too long. He also saw me right away when I had some spotting a few weeks ago. He's very easygoing and is really good about putting you at ease with any concerns that may come up.
Good luck with your doc search and your TTC journey! I wish you the best!
Tery!!!
I'm so glad you're back on the boards
I was hoping it was you when I saw your new screenname. Anyhow, you already know I'm excited for you & L. If you'd like, I can check with Michelle to see who she went to with Matthew & Natalie. Bueno, let me know!
xoxo,
Nik
YAY!!! So happy to see so many of my old knotties here! It's like if I found my way back home.
Adri, I've heard lots of good things about Kellogg and I guess if by the time I get there I can't find a female OBGYN that I like I'll try him out.
Nik, I didn't know you were still on here! always a pleasure my beautiful friend. Kisses to Princess C. Let me know who Michelle goes to.
Thanks girls!
