  • Well I moved here from Dallas a month ago and have been to Northeast OBGYN twice to see Dr. Theis.  I am very unhappy with the doctor and with the practice.  I am just about 20 weeks and am ready to find a good dr!  He had the worst bedside manner I have ever witnessed.  From my experience there, the practice overbooks and your wait time is ridiculous.  We waited well over an hour in the ultrasound room last visit.  Only to find out that Dr Theis said it looks like I have placenta previa.  He was in such a rush he had no time to answer any of our questions.  So here I am with a possible serious diagnosis but he was running late so sucks to be me!  Today I called Serrano OBGYN.  It isn't a large practice, just one doctor.  They were not hard to get an appointment with and Dr. Serrano actually called me today and talked to me for 30 minutes.  He has just relocated here from the coast and I am very excited to meet him!

Sorry, I had to vent a little bit there :)

  • P.S.......We are naming our daughter Reese Alexandra, I love seeing cute pics of other Resses!!!!!!
  • Well I go to NE OBGyn and have never had abd experience there. I am really surprised. But I have Dr. Chavana. I had 2 surgeries with Dr. Sadler and she assisted on them since Dr. Sadler doesn't deliver babies we decided to go with her.
  • I was also very surprised at how we were treated there as well.  I had three people recommend NE OB to me so thought for sure I would be happy.  but after being left waiting for almost two hours for the dr. only to have him not have time for me I was very upset.  Every time I was sent to check out the doctor never wrote when I should come back so it was always a big production.  And the last straw was when I had to reschedule an important important two weeks in advance, they said they wouldn't fit me back in until the middle of May!  And this is after the Dr. told me I may need to be put on bed rest at the beginning of May.  They just very overworked there.

I'm sorry you had a bad experience with NE-OBGYN.  Dr. Theis actually delivered Elise. He's not my OB, but he was the OB on call that day.  And if it wasn't for him, I 100% would of had a c-section. I have no other experience with him, all I know is that all the L&D nurses said if it would have been any other dr, they just would have given up and done a CS. (she was "sunny side up" and he actually used the vacuum to get her out.) So I am very happy he is a part of that practice.

I also never had a long wait there at all... anyway, glad you found somewhere you will be happy! GL to you!

  • I am actually very happy to hear your story, I was sure he was a great doctor with his experience.  Maybe they were just having some really bad days while I was there.  That is also great that you didn't have to go through a c-section, I am praying that I will be able to avoid it now as well. =)
