With Mother's Day around the corner DH asked me what I wanted. Not quite sure...I'm one of those people who wants really random stuff (usually home related) but I'm at a loss. What I'd really like is crown molding but I don't see that happening.
What do you want for Mother's Day?

if my husband asked.....
- new sunglasses
- mani/pedi
-massage or facial gift card
- cute outfit for my 30th bday a couple days before
- yummy dinner out, husband planned it AND found a babysitter
This necklace
(it is really petite in person)
A nice card with my son's handprint in it.
totally off topic, but i just spent 4 days in sonoma. I was looking for good parks to take logan too. We usually go to the one in the square, but he found cat poop in the sand the other day and started to eat it. Where do you guys like to go?
This reminds me why I am glad I don't live near my ILs.
And to be thankful that my mom realizes that she now shares this day with me (hurray!) and her two DILs.
Having said that last year's mother's day sucked (a blazing hot day at Gilroy Garden's with all the kid's and an upset Gramma) so I'm looking for something more low key this year too.
A massage.
SOmething he does with/from the kids.
A date he plans.
We only really celebrate mothers day and fathers day...we dont do birthdays or christmas but those 2 days are the ones we spend over our $20 limit.

My mom totally pulls the ess. She's like all huffy, "Well, I'm the REAL mother!" Whatevs.
I say, I'm a mom, I don't plan. Usually my brother throws a bbq so we can all be together. Hopefully he will! I'd love a mani/pedi or massage gift certificate or a dinner out... we'll see.
I'm sure my DH wont ask either, but I really just want a nice card from him and DS... and maybe a nice lunch out or something.
I always try to balance between his mom, my mom and of course myself on that day...but sometimes his mom seems to forget I am a mom too =(
honestly what i really want is a day to myself to do NOTHING.
absolutely NOTHING.
i just want to hole up in my room (or a nice hotel room) and sleep all day with no interruptions or hang out at the pool or get a massage.
But mostly be able to sleep with no interuptions. LOL.
Then meet DH and DS for dinner.
Pretty simple.
- a Jasper disc for my existing hayjac necklace
- a date night that he plans
- a day date with dh
pretty much anything

DH and the kids to figure out how to host Mother's day brunch (for both of our moms and some extended family - usually 25-30 people) without me cooking all of it!
i want to sleep in til I feel like it & have breakfast ready when I get up along with a sparkling clean kitchen - and my kids to be in awesome moods & for DH to tell me how awesome he thinks I am.
maybe some flowers too.
seriously - is that too much to ask?
that's what we did for md when we lived in dallas! i loved it :-)
i would like an uninterrupted 4 hour nap, please.
and for husband to relax about the money we're about to spend. we have it (we're not going into debt for these purchases) and we're not going to not spend it (they're necessary purchases) so chill the out about it so we can enjoy them!
