Ok I know evites are the easiest way to invite people to events, but to a wedding? Oh but this wasn't even an evite. It was in a Word document! Ok AND this is my husband's cousin AND to top it off... "50's attire is encouraged." What?? I couldn't help but laugh, I know I'm such a biotch! haha
Re: Um, we received a wedding invite via email...
Seriously, I told Dan "as much as I would love to go, my poodle skirt is still at the cleaners from the last 50's wedding we went to." haha
Luckily, we do have another wedding to go to so we can't make it.
Is it a second or third wedding for them, where maybe it's very informal?
At least with Halloween you would be able to find a good poodle skirt if you were going.
I'm all for saving trees, but a word doc in an email is tacky. Maybe if they linked you to a webiste or blog, or heck even evite would have been better.

Javasun, are you for real? I don't think paperless wedding invites are going to bring back the rainforest.?
In social situations where it is expected to buy an expensive gift, I think it is a reasonable gesture to spring for some paper and, Oh! god forbid, a stamp. Please attend this wedding and give us the fabulous details. I will be waiting with popcorn.
WHAT
That is frickin hilarious - Did they put where they are registered too?
To me this sounds like they are cheap and not worrying about the environment.
THIS saturday!?! It's like they're hoping everyone has plans already so no one shows up.
You can buy plain ol' cardstock and use a cool font and have a perfectly good invite at a really low cost. There's budget and then there's just cheap.
