anyone else bored with baby clothes, but...

Am I the only one bored with baby clothes???

I'm finding cloth diapers, hats and shoes to be FAR more interesting! But then again, I tend to match my clothes to my  Aerie underwear (not that  anyone else knows they coordinate!) but baby stuff is just bleh. it all looks the same - duckies, frogs, bears, hearts, etc...

There are some awesome shoes out there! I just got my niece See Kai Run shoes for her bday. I'm totally digging hats too. I hope I can keep her in them!and having a July baby, I can totally just leave her in a diaper half of summer! I'll spend more on diapers her size for summer months then I would for winter. Wink

You could totally coordinate a baby's outfit to some of the cute shoes or hat! I think they have more personalty anyway then a lot of the clothes.

I'm also debating on getting a sewing machine to make her some original stuff. I get so sick of looking at Carters baby stuff and all the other same old brands sold everywhere. The stuff I like would be easy to make but it's super expensive to buy. Tongue Tied

I need to stay away from Etsy. it's filling my brain with too many ideas. Angel ...then I go to stores and it's all boring or wicked expensive. Stick out tongue

  • I wish I was bored with baby clothes.  I'm enjoying all the accessories as well...but can't stop with the summer dresses either!   I'd probably be going nuts with the cloth diapers but they're still overwhelming so haven't been a blast for me.

  • I can't stand the generic-looking baby clothes (like Carters, etc.) but I have fun looking for baby clothes here and there (I'm just really picky). I love a lot of the new baby girl outfits at Baby Gap. They have some wicked cute rompers and summer dresses. But cloth diapers have become an obsession of mine! lol I definitely spend way more time shopping for them than I do baby clothes. haha!

  • For now I am not worrying about buying baby clothes.  I understand from my sis, who just had her 1st baby last year, that babies tend to be in onesies for most of the time.  If I need clothes after DS is here, I'll go get some!  But I do LOVE the cute clothes!

  • I too wish I could say I am bored of baby clothes!  However, I have not had a hard time finding items that I love sans ducks, frogs, stupid sayings, etc.  I have a ton of stuff from Baby Gap that I love and have found some really cute outfits at Macy's that are not pastel or primary colors.  I know we already have way to many clothes (got a ton at our shower) so I have tried to tame the beast by making our big gear purchases, but I still bought some more clothes last weekend...I know, I am bad!
  • baby gap is one of the only stores I really like. and old navy's girls jeans. everything else looks too... babyish. Stick out tongue

I don't wanna go buy a bunch of stuff til we "meet" her. clothes should reflect a persons personality. Embarrassed

it always weirds me out seeing baby stuff as princess or diva. some girls just aren't "that type." I've seen some of my baby stuff and was like Indifferent you dressed me in THAT?!?  Indifferent

I do dig the summer dresses but a lot of the "cool" clothes don't come til 3 or 6 months. Tongue Tied
