Baby's Eye Color Question

Anyone have a baby born with VERY blue eyes that later turned brown?

When Nicholas was born he looked like he had cateracts...his eyes were clearly brown with a film of gray over them. By about 3-4 weeks they were truly dark brown.

Adrianna's eyes are deep blue.  No brown around the edges or anything.

DH and I are are both Sicilian and have very dark brown eyes.  There were a few people in our families several generations back that had blue or green eyes, so we're wondering if Adrianna got a recessive gene.  Everyone keeps commenting on how blue her eyes are.

So did anyone have their baby's eyes change from very blue to brown later than a month old? How old?

    Nate had blue-greenish eyes for the longest time and turned totally brown. They are not as dark as Sebastian's eyes but still very dark.

    My dad has green eyes, Eric's dad has blue eyes and Eric has light hazel eyes so there was a possibility.

    Too bad you don't live closer, I see so many newborns (because of my photography) and I am never wrong on my guesses :)

    I had very blue eyes from birth to six months - then they changed to hazel. It happens!

    Lynda's eyes changed so many times.  When she was first born they were a beautiful blue/gray.  As she got a little older they turned bright blue.  A little older they turned hazel.  They turned (and stayed brown) around her first birthday.

    Ditto, Eli!  I had very light blue eyes in my hospital pic and then they turned hazel.  My dad and his mom both had light green eyes.

    abby's eyes were bright, bright blue and now they're a brownish-hazel color... they changed completely at a little over a year.

    E was born with very blue eyes and they are like an aqua/green color...not a huge change. I had crystal blue eyes up to age 1 and now have light green.

    mady was born with grey eyes that later turned blue and much later turned hazel and are now light brown like mine.

    at 4 months they were hazel and months later they turned brown.
