Is anyone going to watch Oprah today?

Octomom is on. I kinda want to watch.  Ironically, I can relate to how someone can become SO desperate for children that it would make them obsessive like her. (Not because I was that bad... I just know other really obsessed folks.)

    Thanks for the reminder!  I need to dvr it. 

    She's so ridiculous and self absorbed.  It's more than an obsession for her, it's more like a mental illness.  I just feel terribly for those children.

    Exactly- I feel bad for them, too. I do think she is unstable to have so many. I don't excuse her or the doctors at all. It's so sad, sort of like a train wreck.

    I have nothing against large families. Really. I want 8 kids.

    BUT, it has to be practical for you and your life. She was a single mom with 6 kids, no job, and living with her parents. That is not the appropriate time to try for one more. I feel bad for her though. She has some serious issues in her life and no one to stick up for her. Her parents help her, but they have both trashed talked her to the media. I can't imagine life without any one to lean on. Parenting is all about responsibility.

    Side note....she has to live pretty unhealthy too. She lost her whole tummy pouch in a year with no surgery, etc. I can't believe she had eight kids at once and went back down to size so quickly. It seems rather fishy.

    Well, I think she lied about no surgery.  She also lied about never getting cosmetic surgery done on her nose, lips, etc.  The pictures don't lie, she does.  There's no way she looks like that after having 8 kids without a little help.  She's a sociopath.  I feel bad for her only in the sense that she's clearly sick and needs help.

    I think she has had plastic surgery. I think she has been asked to pose in playboy. 

    I'm not against large families, either. I just think what that doctor did with the last IVF was totally negligent.
