No more highchair?

How old were your LO's when you stopped using the high chair? Did you start feeding them on a toddler table? DD eats on a table in her daycare so i thought she might be ready at home too. I'd love to get rid of the highchair already, but not sure if she's ready at 19 months.

Re: No more highchair?

  • We have been using booster seats on our chairs since they were about 10 months old. Now they either sit at a toddler table, or in the booster's with us at the table. hth!

  • We used the Fisher Price Space Saver high chair (sits on top of regular chair) until 3-4 months ago. We decided to transition her because she actually had already been eating from the table in daycare, too, and because we'd need the high chair for DS when we started solids. We bought a very simple booster seat for her chair, and she sits at the dining table with us for all meals...although we sometimes do snacks or lunch at her toddler table.
  • Okay, I don't know anything about this "toddler table."  You set up a separate little table where your LO eats his/her meals?

I've been thinking about switching to a booster seat.  When we have dinner at my BFF's house, that's what DD uses and she's fine.  I just haven't pulled the trigger yet.

  • I've been thinking about pulling the highchair, and getting a booster seat. He uses a booster at my sister's house and when we go to restaurants, and he's fine, so I think he's ready.
