This past week I have been feeling really funny... its hard to describe but I guess exhausted/dizzy/light headed/weak is the best way to put it. My feet have also started swelling bad out of no where.
The baby didn't move at all yesterday which was odd so at 1:30pm I called the OB who sent me in for a NST (same thing happened at 26 weeks but I wasn't having this funny feeling) and the nurse/on call OB said I was ok... but the baby's heartrate was bouncing back and forth constantly from 110 to 180. I'm no doc, but that worried me!
I just can't shake this "funny" feeling... I've tried sleeping more, sitting at work more, doing nothing when I get home from work except lay in bed with my feet up. Is this totally normal? The baby has yet to move today again... I can't help but think the 2 are related.
Re: Feeling "funny"??
Try drinking something sweet and laying down on your left side to get LO to move. I'd call the OB if you aren't feeling movement. Trust your gut.
My BFP Chart
Your other feelings sound normal to me, but not feeling movement from your LO is really concerning. I'd call my doc again asap.
It will pass... I felt that way for awhile and it ended two weeks ago. Are you eating enough in the morning and drinking enough water? It's mostly circulation and the growing baby sitting a certain way to cut you off, making you feel dizzy/ lightheaded.
I'm 39 weeks and it's cramping and nauseousa now.
Hope you feel better soon!
I went to L&D for feeling odd a few weeks back, the LO heart rate was all over the place as well. I had weekly NST's with my first and it was common for the fluctuations.
But if you truly don't feel right, you know your body, call your OB and tell them of your concern, esp. with the swelling.
The swelling has gone down a lot for me b/c I don't wear socks anymore. I also had a non-stress test done for the baby's heartrate.
You'll be ok
The doctor will know if it's anything alarming.
Thanks ladies..
My OB is on vaca this week, and I hate the covering one.. he really doesn't seem to care much IMO. He shrugged off my worry as nothing yesterday.
I just didn't know if this is all "normal" or if its something to worry about. I've had a few glasses of OJ and a soda in the past few hours and nothing, ice water did the trick yesterday but no ice here at my office. I also can't lay down here
I'm thinking about cutting back my hours at work to see if that helps the symptoms. Maybe working so much is doing it to me. Thanks again!
Nope, at my hospital you have to go through your OB first. However, my aunt is my OB's nurse so I can always just call her and get in if it comes down to that... she rocks.
This is around the time he decided to "wake up" yesterday so I'm not so worried yet. At yesterday's NST he did perk up with ice water and me lying down. Its just weird because until yesterday, I'd at least get SOME sort of movement before this time of day LOL
My aunt (who I totally trust) didn't seem to concerned yesterday and did say feeling like this could just be me over tired, and she'd only be worried if it kept up. Maybe I will call her again today. I just hate to be such a worrywart/annoyance!
How was your BP when you went in?
If you still don't feel right, and LO still isn't active, I say go back in. I'd be worried, too!!
