Normally I love it, but today, I swear I'm two seconds away from jumping out the window. I can't breathe out of my nose, every time I try to breathe out of my mouth I go into severe coughing fits, my head is pounding. So of course today is the day DD has decided to be extra clingy and whiney. I finally thought I had her down for a nap and then a coughing fit came on and she was wide awake ![]()
I remember before being a mom I would actually look forward to getting sick because I could call in to work and lay around and watch movies. I miss those days right now.
I'm just hoping that DD's grumpiness isn't because she is coming down with this thing. As much as it sucks being a sick mom, I'd take it over having a sick baby any day.
Re: Being a SAHM sucks when you're sick!
I know what you mean. I'm not sick, but I just started the 30 Day Shred last night and I am sore as all get out - I can hardly walk my legs are like jelly. Normally DS (who is 22 pounds) is very independent, but today he wants to be on me constantly. I just about died carrying him down (and back up) the stairs for breakfast, I don't even want to think about having to do it at least another two times before DH gets home.
And there is nothing worse, as a sick parent, than accidentally waking up your difficult to nap child with a sneeze or cough. Not only does it generally suck that they're awake, but you have no one but yourself to blame for it! Ugh. I hope you feel better soon, and LO doesn't succumb!

It's kind of like a slow torture, isn't it? I'm sorry you're not feeling well. Hope this cold passes quickly for you and it skips over your little one!
Feel better, Momma!
That sounds bad, I'm so sorry. I really, really hope your DC is not getting it. The only thing worse than having to take care of a small child when you are sick is having to take care of a small sick child.
I have mono and have been having a really hard time just keeping up with DS's basic needs. All.Month.Long. Only another 3 1/2 -6 1/2 more weeks to go!
Do you think they can write in something about sick days for moms when then do the healthcare reform?
I would totally vote for that.
