About a week and 1/2 ago, I ordered a dresser for our LO's room. I got a tracking number and was tracking the package as it got closer and closer.
Yesterday morning when I checked, it said that it had arrived in my town and was out for delivery. I was at work, and figured when I got home from work there would be a notice on my door saying, oh we missed you, come to our location and pick up your package (as is the standard practice around here if you're not home when they try to deliver a package).
So yesterday after work, I turn the corner onto my street, and what do I see? A huge cardboard box containing my baby's dresser standing on my FRONT door step. Clearly visible from the street. In a box marked clearly with the baby furniture company name, with a picture of the dresser, and obviously the name/brand of the dresser. Oh, and did I mention it was raining?
I was none too pleased that a piece of furniture worth hundreds of dollars was left on my front door step in the rain. My DH and I had a doctor's appt last night and didn't open the box yet. We're waiting until the cardboard is dry tonight to open it. Let me know tell you, there will be he// to pay if that dresser is warped from water damage.
The courier has received an email of complaint from me so far. I told them I would be contacting them further if there's any damage.
But can you freaking believe that!? What kind of an idiot courier driver does that?
Re: What the he// was the courier thinking!?!
This
I went to the courier office on my lunch hour and asked what their standard practice was for delivering a package when no one is home. She said they try 3 times and then give notice that they'll hold it at the office for 5 days.
I've had other, smaller, less expensive, packages to be delivered and there's always been a notice on my door saying come pick it up.
This. We get packages almost weekly and they are always left on our porch.
Perhaps he may have, but when I talked to them in the office, they said they try 3 times, and then hold it at the office for 5 days. So I guess I'm not really sure who to be mad at, but I was upset about it.
