Different Vaccine Schedules and Pediatrician Questions

I have an appointment for a potential pediatrian at 1:30 and I had planned to have this all reseached out, etc... but time and life got away from me. I really am either trying to find a website that compares the different methods and gives pros of cons, but haven't found one. Can someone PLEASE educate me or suggest somewhere to look??

Any other suggestions to ask at this appointment unrelated to vaccines would be really appreciated.

Re: Different Vaccine Schedules and Pediatrician Questions

  • I second the Dr. Sears book.  It has a ton of great info!  My DD just got her first vaccine yesterday and she is 2 months old.

Questions to ask: same day sick appt availability, wait time in office, hospitals dr. has privelages at, how they feel about an alternate vaccine schedule, do they talk to the child or the parent once the child is old enough to talk (my step-son had a dr. who didn't even know he was severely speech delayed because his mom always did the talking for him when they were at the doctor's office), is there another dr. that can see your child if your dr. is out of town...that's about all I can think of right now.  I'm sure there are a ton more though!  Good luck!
