No progress @ 39 wks :(

Ugh, 39 weeks today - she's still wayyyyy up there above my pelvic bone, only a fingertip dilated and barely effaced...

Doctor's been doing NSTs and did a super quick U/S today and she is doing plenty of fetal breathing which he says means "she's happy in there"  That's all great, but makes me think she'll never want to get this show on the road.

    That sucks!  I hope that she shapes up and starts getting the show on the road...maybe she's planning on just doing it all in one day which will be 'labor' day.

    There must be a trend going on! I'm 39 too barely a finger dilated, just a little bit effaced..they were talking about maybe inducing me..so we'll see..I hope things go well for you! =}

    Don't worry!  It can all change VERY quickly!  You'd rather have her in there than have her come out (even a week early).  :)  Most first time moms (I'm assuming you are) usually go up to or a little past their due dates.  She will come when she's ready and it could be in the next couple of days.  

    I had my DS 2 days before my EDD and I honestly don't remember how much progress I'd made before I went into labor.  It'll all happen!

    Don't worry.  I had zero progress 3 days before going into labor with ds, who was born on his due date.  Things happen quickly when it's time for it to happen.

    I feel you. I am right there with you.

    I know that each delivery is different, but I was 10 days early with my first so every day now is like an eternity with this little guy!  I have no signs of going anytime soon. I have been having unproductive contractions since week 36 which only makes this drag on even more.  Frustrating!

    well im 2cm dialated, 85% effaced and baby in -1....and NOTHING!!! UG i would almost rather have no progress than to be stuck!

     good luck! i wont be getting induced until 42 weeks:(

    I got my hopes up when I dropped early around 34 weeks...still no baby. These last days are going by s...l...o...w...l...y.

    I'm also 39 weeks and showed no progress for the 3rd week in a row.

    Talk about depressing. I feel your pain. I'm not getting my hopes up anymore over these random, painful, but meaningless contractions.

    I also am getting soo antsy! I just want to meet the baby already!!! It doesnt make it better when everytime I call someone they ask if I am in labor or if I had my baby yet.
    DS 5/5/10 Due in Feb 2012!
