H has always been a pretty good sleeper. Since about 7 weeks, she's been STTN. For the past month or so, she's been sleeping 9-10 hours a night. I'm not sure if the four month wakeful period is rearing its ugly head or what, but for the past few nights, H has been waking up around 4 a.m. One night she was waking every few hours. She's been fussy once or twice, a couple of times she's been trying to get out of the swaddle and a couple of times she's just been talking to herself. I nursed her a few times to get her back to sleep, which worked, but I don't know if I'm creating a bad habit or not. She eats around 5:30 a.m. on weekdays, so maybe she's waking up early because she's hungry? She last eats the night before around 7:30, and she eats five times a day, usually around 5 oz. per feeding. Or is this just a phase that will go away?
If this sounds like the four month wakeful period, is there anything we can do to get her to sleep?
