TMI? for some. If you have/had a subchorionic hematoma...

in 2nd Trimester

I was diagnosed with one SCH at 11 wks, and a 2nd one at 12 wks. Ever since then I've had slight brown discharge everyday, which my dr said was completely normal. At my 15 wk recheck, they were both smaller (thank goodness). Now I've had increase in brown discharge, but it's got an odor to it.

If you had a subchorionic hematoma, did you have brown discharge and if so, did you also notice an odor with it? Thanks.

    I totally understand where you are coming from.  I was diagnosed with one at 11.5 weeks and have had bleeding off and on since then.  Thankfully, I haven't bled in a week but since it started at 11.5 weeks, I mostly had brownish or a dark red discharge.  Never an odor.  I would ask your OB.  You might have an infection along with the subchorionic bleed.

    I had one for a few weeks.  With some brown spotting a couple of times.  I didn't really notice an odor, but then again, my sense of smell has been shot lately.

    Lurking from 3rd tri.  I had an SCH at 16 weeks, although I've since been diagnosed with low-lying placenta and they are unsure if what caused the bleeding was an SCH or that, and if what they saw on the US was the spot of a bleed or a clot from a placental bleed.

    I had really bright red bleeding at first, and then brown bleeding and brown discharge for about a week, then off and on for a couple of more weeks.  I didn't notice an odor, but I wasn't checking, honestly.  The brown seemed to be a good thing in the long run, the spot on the US disappeared completely by 21 weeks.

    I have a SCH that was discovered at 16 weeks. When I first noticed the bleeding, I thought it had an odd smell to it. When I was checked out by the midwife, she never said anything about the odor so it must have just been the old blood. I only bled for about 2 weeks on and off and now I'm at 23 weeks and still have the SCH.
