My DD was a big baby (8 lbs. 14 oz) and fit into BG 3.0s at a month old and I expect my baby on the way to be on the larger side as well. While they are adorable and I'm tempted to stock up, I'd hate to shell out $$$ for newborn diapers when they'll only fit for a couple months. Especially when I know I'll have to buy quite a few with the rate newborns go through diapers.
How many did you buy? How long did you use them before switching to larger diapers? Thanks!
Re: Are newborn CDs worth it?
I'm saving my NB stash for #2 if that happens, so there's a savings.
Mine was 8lb 1oz and grew quick but even after he could fit in my BGs, he was still wearing his KL0s until maybe 10 weeks. His NB PFs fit inside the pocket diapers I have perfectly, so I'm keeping those around in case I decide on more pockets and want to line dry inserts more often.
I bought my NB diapers new, and I could've saved a lot had I gone used. I had 24 PFs, 12 KL0s, 6 Thirsties Duos, which we just stopped using. That lot cost me $300 new, and I think I would've spent that much in disposables based on how many diapers we went through. I was laundering every day & a half to 2 days.
