I have a thought for a GTG

Since so many here have "projects" that they offer to others, why not have some kind of GTG where we can have the Pampered Chef, Tastefully Simple, Southern Living at Home, Arbonne, Book sales, and others where all who are interested can see what is offered?  We could also have the babywearing moms and CD moms bring their stuff to educate and showcase.  Maybe a little food and drink to go with it?  I think it would be fun, but have no idea where we could have it to make it comfortable for everyone.  Thoughts?

  • I like the idea too!  I wonder if someone has access to a clubhouse or something...
  • Heh...I was getting nervous that it was a crazy idea based on the number of looks and no replies.  I really think this could be a fun afternoon.  A clubhouse would be good.

  • I would love to come and set-up/show off my Usborne books.  Cause they are cute.  And I am a book nerd.  :)

And I think it would be cool to go to something like that where you could see everything and buy if you wanted but not feel like you "had" to because you were at a home show.

I would also love to see some other babywearing stuff.  The only time I have really seen them IRL is at a GTG!  I must not hang out where the hip moms are!  :)

  • I love the idea allso but are you sure there aren't multiples that do the different sales and stuff.  I think it would be way to hard personally but who knows.  It sounds fun and like a lot of $$ hehe.
Our kids are 19mths apart and we LOVE it!!

  • That sounds fun.  I'm actually hosting a Pampered Chef party on Saturday for anyone interested.  I believe my consultant also sells Tupperware so I can check on that & let you know.  I also may start selling those things as well so if the GTG happens I would love to be the rep!

  • We could have crafty moms bring stuff in and lil peanut could bring in samples of her work and the photog moms could bring in samples of their work and price sheets.

Like our own little Baby Fair!!!  Nestie Baby Fair 2010!  I am so in... I could totally make some Super Hero Capes to show everyone.  I am sure every mom could think about something to showcase or bring.

  • I know I already responded, but the more I think about it, the more excited I get.  I certainly could use some Tupperware!

  • I think it sounds like fun :)  I do Southern Living at Home, although it is packed right now!  I love the idea of sharing BW, CD, and photography too.  If we would have multiple "vendors", they could split the purchases or something.  If anyone has clubhouse access that is a great idea!

  • I think that's a great idea - plus, even if you dont need something now, then you'll know in the future who does what. I know I'd rather support a Nestie business or project than search out a complete stranger.

I dont have a clubhouse, but I'd definitely be in. I make notecards and invitations, so I'd be happy to bring some of those and/or pictures of others I've done.

  • If we did it on a weekend we may be able to use my work's community room, it holds well over 50.  It's in Covington so I don't know that it's convenient for everyone though.

  • I love the idea!  I sell Tastefully Simple.  I actually prefer this type of party versus the traditional everyone sits in a big circle and I talk and pass the food around.  I love the casualness (yes I think I just made up my own word) of the come and eat what you want when you want kind of atmosphere.

I think it would be a fun way to get out and enjoy everyone's company.

  • i totally agree and have no problem splitting stuff with mommy2max. we can both bring sample treats and split the sales.. or she can take the Ky orders and i the OH orders. i am sure we can figure that out between me and her.

  • I would be very interested in attending!

  • I'm pretty sure my gym has a community room that you can use at little to no cost.  I'd be happy to ask what the rules are.  Fitworks off 75 in West chester. It would be central for dayton and cincy people. I'll let you know what i find out.
  • I don't sell anything but I would totally come!
