Anyone take synthroid while pregnant?

Got the call today that my thyroid is low and will have to start taking a low dose of synthroid.  Anyone have this during pregnancy?  Does the medication affect you at all?  Side effects?  Any words of wisdom?  TIA!

    I take synthroid.  No problems at all!  It's just another pill to remember.  I take it right when I wake up.  When at home (before hospital bedrest) I'd leave it and a glass of water on my nightstand.  (When on hospital bedrest the nurse would bring it to me bright and early with some other meds.)

    I think you can't take it at the same time as a PNV.

    ::raises hand:: I take it first thing in the morning because you have to take it on an empty stomach and I don't eat for 2 hours after. Also don't take it with your pre-natal or anywhere near that time. I take that in the evening. Good luck!

    I have taken it for about 11 years now... no side effects, just have to remember to take it before I eat. My info says to take it an hour before or two hours after eating, so that's what I do. I just take it as soon as I get up, then take my vitamin right before bed.

    I've been taking synthroid since TTC #1. I've had no negative side-effect, but it has helped me control my weight :)

    I started taking the lowest dose while TTC and when I got pg they doubled it, so it was still a low dose.  No problems at all.  I know the directions say take before food, but there were plenty of days I took it with food with no adverse effects.  It probably wasn't absorbed quite as well, but you do what you have to do!

    Ive been on it for over 10 years and have never noticed anything. I always used to take it with breakfast until my endocrinologist told me to wait about 10 to 15 minutes before eating. It interferes with iron and antacids so make sure you take your vitamins later.

    Been taking it for about 3 yrs now... after thyroid and pre-cancerous tumors removed.  Never had to have dose changed b/c of pg.  I take it right when I get up.  Wait 20 min or so to eat.  Dont take antacids within a couple of hours.  If you miss a dose, you might notice increase tiredness.  It really is no biggie!  Oh, and I take the generic... always have.  Some people have issues going beween name brand and generic.  Same ingredients, but some people react differently.
