Pittsburgh Babies

OBGYN & ASSOC of Pittsburgh

Has anyone used them as you doc? Any good or bad reviews? I am fairly new to the area and have only been there for one annual visit.  Also, what was your first visit (8 or 9 weeks) like there?

Re: OBGYN & ASSOC of Pittsburgh

  • I use the Monroeville office.  I really like it there.  They were my ob/gyn prior to my pregnancy.  I did have to switch doctors because my gyn. no longer delivers babies.

At the first appointment around 9 weeks, they take a urine specimen, blood pressure, weight.  Then I got a pap smear and heard the baby's heartbeat.  The doctor talked to me about weight gain, nutrition, and answered other questions I had.  The doctor said you can't always hear the heartbeat then but we were able to find it.

  • I go to the one in Oakland. The doctors are very nice.

For my first visit the doctor I had, Dr. Kremser, was very friendly. Basically they just get your information...check your weight and blood pressure then the doctor checks you out and talks to you about what to expect and how you're feeling.

They rotated me through all their doctors so I would have a chance to meet each one.

I had Dr. Hazel deliver my baby. She was great!

  • They are all wonderful!  I've been going to the Oakland office for the past 10 years.  Now that I'm 28 years old and 19 weeks along in my first pregnancy, I've had a chance to meet with almost all of the doctors that deliver.  All of the nurses and doctors are extremely friendly and caring.  They are so accommodating with Thursday evening appointments and they are excellent about squeezing you in for an earlier appointment if you ever have an emergency or concern.
