WDYT of Mariah?

DH and I both love it, but worry about the Mariah Carey association.  We would go with Lynn (family name) as the mn, if that makes a difference in your opinion.  I love the two names together, but do you think she (my unconceived-yet-future-child) is going to be called Mariah Carey her entire life?

    I did immediately think Mariah Carey when I saw your post. However, I know a Mariah IRL and  never really made that association, so who knows :)

    I think Mariah is a nice name ( I have a friend named Mariah)  don't let the Mariah Carey thing stop you, if you want to avoid it just spell it different. My friend spells her name Myriah.

    Well, it's my name so I love it. Mariah Carey actually helped people finally be able to pronounce it and I stopped getting called Maria all the time. The sad part about Mariah Carey is that my mom's name is Carey with that spelling also. It amuses a lot of people and definitely helps them remember who we are. No one has ever called me Mariah Carey. Sang her songs to me, yes, but never called me that.

    I don't think so.  She's not that popular right now anyway, lol.  Plus, I met a little girl named Mariah once.  She was too cute.  I like the name.

    I did think of Mariah Carey right away.  I did grow up with a Moriah if that makes a difference for you.
