is DD too young for a swim class?

It's a water familarization (sp?) for moms and their infants. The lady said she's never had anyone under 3mo, so she said she'd leave it up to me to decide. Of course I'll call pedi to make sure. I know DD is young and won't know what's going on, but it would be more for me to get out with her. The next set of classes don't start until March, she'll be 7mo then.

Every class I have looked into says 6 months and older. ?

I would think so. The classes that are offered here say 6 months. I know of someone who did it at 4 month. I plan to wait till December when M will be 6 months.

All of the local classes start at 6 months. I've never heard of anyone taking them earlier.

I'd be worried that the instructor's methods won't be appropriate or effective for a <6mo old.

like pp's have said - all the classes i've looked into say 6 months. ?my little guy is 3 months and while he has good head control, he gets tired of holding it up for too long. ?i would think a swim lesson might be a bit much at 3 mo.
