I had not been told not to eat anything, and I had a big breakfast beforehand. With my induction with DS, I did not get to eat beforehand and ended up going about 36 hours without food, which gave me a horrible migraine and made labor so much worse. I was so glad I had eaten with DD! My labor ended up being less than 12 hours, but it was such a great experience, and I felt so much better at the end of it in comparison to DS.
I ate dinner at 6 p.m., went to the hospital with contractions at 4 a.m. and was induced around 9 a.m. Delivered at close to 1 p.m.. and finally ate again at around 4 p.m. In all honesty, you probably won't be hungry while at the hospital but if you can eat breakfasat and are allowed to, do just to keep up your energy.
I really want to eat something, but my ob said I shouldn't. I still get sick in the mornings and take a zofran. The only thing that settles my stomach after the zofran is breakfast and skipping it is just going to make me sick plus I have GD so my blood sugar is going to drop low and make me feel terrible.

How early are we talking? My induction was at 7:30. I ate b/c my blood sugar was low. I think I had toast with PB? I wish I had eaten more though, because the rest of the day I was starving.
