My sitter quit on me today :(

My sitter has been waching DS1 for two years now and after a week of watching DS1 and LO she decided that she can't take on watching an infant plus her three boys my DS and another boy she watches. This has thrown me for a loop since she wasn't even nice enough to give me a notice. She sent me a message on facebook tonight.

 I'm really hoping to find a new sitter I can afford before I start my new job. It's crazy how complicated life can be.

Any Thoughts & Prayers are appreciated right now :)

    Ugh - good luck! No SAHMs in your family that wouldn't mind taking on that kind of responsibility? I can't imagine hiring a sitter that I didn't know very well!

    Nope. I hate to say it but all of my family is pretty worthless. If I ever need time for myself i've always had to pay the sitter. My mom is a 21 year old wild child at heart so I don't trust her. I will be doing a background check on anyone watching my children

    That was really crappy of your sitter to quit like that w/o notice.  Good luck finding another one.

    Did you try Sittercity.com? I used it when I was younger to find babysitting jobs. I believe it does cost a few bucks, but I know they'll let you do a free 7 days or something to see how you like it and maybe you can find a few people and interview them and such. You can do backround checks on it too :) good luck!
