I just found out I was pregnant this week, but I have been noticing that I am a lot more hungry than normal. I can eat a meal and a couple hours later my stomach is growling. I have never been like this in the past, so I can only assume it is the start of a pregnancy symptom.
When I do get hungry between meal, I do try to eat something healthy, like fruits or veggies or something that isn't junk.
I was wondering if anyone knows if it would be okay for me to drink protein shakes. I know that when you're pregnant you're supposed to get a lot of protein, so I thought that this might help me get my protein and might keep me from getting hungry so often.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated? I really don't think this is all in my head, but who knows, I guess it's possible.
Thanks,
Rachel
Re: What to eat?
This is my first pregnancy, and I really don't want to gain a ton of weight. I think your suggestions are a great idea. I will be sure to have other sources of protein, I'm just hoping to find more filling "snacks" that will hopefully keep me from eating all the time. I have already noticed that if I go too long with out eating, as my stomach is growling, I begin to feel sick.
I will the higher fiber foods and see how it goes.
Thanks a bunch!
Thanks so much. I might just wait until I talk to my doctors before I do anything that might be bad for the baby. I don't want to do anything I regret. However, if it is safe, I will be sure to check these out.
Thanks again everyone.
