Sorry for the silly question but we just went from EBF to FF. He is eating solids 2x per day, but we just started trying those.
When he was BF he ate every 2 hours. If I continued that, he would end up with 7, 7oz bottles throughout the course of the day-- that sounds like a lot to me.
He goes to sleep at 7. I had been waking him up at 10 to feed him (because my boobs wouldn't make it otherwise). Should I drop that feeding?
I am going to the doctor in 2 weeks so I will ask then.. just wondering what other 6 month olds are eating.
Re: How many ounces/bottles per day for 6 month old?
this is what DD was having @ 6 months - we've dropped a bottle and added more solids (she get's the same amount of formula, just mixed in with her food)
My LO has severe reflux so he isn't "allowed" to take anything more than 6oz at a time. With that said, he has a total of 24-30 oz a day of milk. It really depends on the day.
Usually a 6oz bottle to start the day and then 4oz after that per feeding.
I have to offer milk before solids b/c he won't drink it otherwise.

The twins get the following:
7am: 7 oz bottle
8am: 4 oz solid (DD takes whatever she takes, DS takes the whole thing)
11:15 5oz bottle, 4 oz solid
2:30-3 7 oz bottle
4 4 oz solid
6 7 oz bottle

I also just recently went from EBF to FF. It was mostly trial and error to figure out how much DS wants to eat and how often, and I'm still figuring it out, but here's how much he has been eating on typical days lately:
7:30am - Wakes Up
8am - 7oz bottle
8:45am - Oatmeal and fruit
11:30am - 8oz bottle
3:00pm - 6oz bottle
5:00pm- Vegetable
5:30pm - 3oz bottle
7:00pm - 6-8oz bottle
7:30pm - Bed
In the beginning he was waking around 3am and we would give him a few ounces, but once we got into a pattern during the day he dropped the middle of the night feeding.
