Parenting after a Loss

If youve traveled with lo...

where did they sleep? DH and I are thinking we will get a condo instead of a hotel so we have more space for her and we are going to get a 2br so she has her own space and we wont keep waking her, but at 1 year old... where will she sleep?? I could buy a travel bed (those pop u thingys) but she will be able to get out if I would bet... what are your thoughts??

  • Friends of ours came to visit for a long weekend over the summer and brought their 2yo daughter. She slept in the pack and play...it was a little small for her, but she did just fine (she is a freakishly large child). I'm sure a pnp would work just fine!

  • Most places have PnP for babies, you could use theirs or take your own. We only get one bedroom places on the road. Its a bit of a pain in the butt to keep the noise down. But easy to do it on a holiday instead of like us all year long!

Just thought I would mention it if money is tight?

  • DD slept in a pack n play when we visited the ILs for Christmas (she also naps in one at my parents' house).  It worked fine.
  • Yep the pack'n'play without the bassinet works for a long time with little kids. My nephew slept in one at two. So, I think you would be fine.
  • We've been OOT with Vivian several times. She's always slept in her PnP. She's not even near 1 year though.

  • We haven't tried it yet, but we picked up a PeaPod travel bed.  It is like a little tent that zips. so they can't get out.  I think it is about $60.
