Hey Ladies,
Would you go for a 3 mile run directly after your IUI? My DH is on a charity board and there is a 5K fundraiser tomorrow for that charity. Of course, my IUI#4 was just scheduled for tomorrow morning, and of course, I have 6 out-of-towners coming to my house to participate in this 5k.
I'd have to jump off the table and go right to the starting line but I could make it. WWYD?
Also, no one really knows about our IF so how the heck do I explain the fact that DH and I need to be somewhere at 715 tomorrow morning and that the they're on their own for breakfast and need to figure out how to get to the race on their own.
The logistics of this are insane!
Re: IUI and Exercise
I wouldnt run, I would try to take it as easy as possible.
Does your doctor think it would be okay for you to do that, I guess that would be the first person I asked.
I wouldnt worry about what other people think, you dont have to tell them anything you dont want to. Just say hey we have somewhere important to be. They should understand.
This exactly.
I know it really is all so crazy. It's so hard to explain sometimes and they always fall on the days you have plans. Personally, I would not do it. I'd just tell them I was having a medical "procedure" and leave it at that. That would explain why you could not drive them and not participate in the race. GL!
I was told that to take the day of IUI off from working out but could resume workouts after that.
Can you not tell them about the appointment and fake being sick with a stomach bug? That will get you to be able to go to the appointment and get you out of the race.
