Update on Baby #2

I haven't posted on Martha's thread for a bit, but I wanted to let you know that Benjamin came a bit early, but not as early as Sam, thanks to the P-17 shots, we think.  35 weeks 4 days, weighing 6 lbs and 18 inches long.  It appeared we were going to have a take home baby, but Ben went downhill overnight and now we are looking at a week or so in the NICU, hopefully not longer. Waiting on blood results for possible infection, so no feeding, and he is on a cannula.  Again, so far it is much better than Sam's stay, but hard nonetheless.  Please keep Baby Ben in your thoughts!

    Congratulations to you!  And welcome baby Ben.  I hope that the NICU stay is super short and he is a take home baby soon!

    Conceived twins with IVF January 2008. Lost baby a at 20 1/2 weeks due to premature rupture of membranes and held onto baby b. Baby b (Brandon) born at 26 weeks and 1 day on July 5, 2008.     Congrats!!  Way to keep Ben cooking as long as you did!  I will keep your family in my prayers for a quick/uneventful NICU stay!

    I'm hoping baby Ben is home soon!  I'm so sorry you had to go through the preemie birth experience again, but you did a great job carrying him for as long as you did!  Congratulations to your whole family!

    Congrats, mama, and great job on keeping Ben in the oven!  I am trying to keep a Ben in the oven, too.  I am really hoping that your NICU stay is short and uneventful.  Sending good karma your way!
