FFFC though it may be flameworthy

I've been bringing LO to bed with me every morning.

I just keep falling asleep nursing him, no matter how much I tell myself I won't! Plus he has been screaming his head off every time I put him in the crib, so instead of dealing with that early in the morning, I've been letting him sleep with me. We've been getting more sleep that way too.

I don't want to keep doing it because I feel way more secure with him in his crib (plus I like having the covers all up around me, so I'm a lot more comfortable in bed alone). But he is hating his crib lately.

I did this until she was about 6.5 months old. i don't think its flame worthy. You do what works to get some extra zzz's. When he becomes mobile, you'll rethink it.

I do this if he wakes up before 8:00. I just cannot function earlier than that. and usually he will fall back asleep with me.

so no flames from me! like pp said, you do what you have to do to get some extra zz's!

I do it too. If you know you will fall asleep make your bed a safe environment. When I bring him in my bed I remove all pillow and keep the blankets at my waist or lower. I don't put any blankets on him. I also keep him in the middle...that's a pretty obvious one though.

I do this also and she falls back to sleep in the crook of my arm. Normally she's in bed with me from about 4 or 5 till 6 AM, when we have to get up for the day.

we have been doing this too. It was nice on the weekend to have all 3 of us cuddled together for an hour in the morning. I don't think there is anything wrong - and he is still using his crib for most of the night. Don't beat yourself up about it.

I *love* my morning nap time with DS. It's one of the sweetest times. When he wakes up in the morning, I bring him in to bed with me and nurse with both of us on our sides. Then, I'll put his head over my arm and we'll lie on our sides facing each other. It is really one of my favorite things.

Yep i do it too. She wakes up usually around 8-9 and then we sleep another hour or 2 in bed together. I dont feel bad though, i love our morning nap together!

I do this too! DS starts fussing around 5 AM and if I bring him into bed with me he will sleep until 8:30 AM Smile

I do it too..DS gets fed up with his crib every morning at 530 like clockwork. I bring him into bed with me and we both sleep until around 9. Sometimes he'll sleep til 10:30..I really love those days.

I do this too when he wakes up to eat at 6am, and we get up around 7 or 7:30, so I don't feel like spending half an hour nursing in the rocking chair and trying to put him back down only for half an hour. I nurse on my side and we both fall back to sleep.

I felt so bad this morning because he fussed at 4am after he had just eaten at 3am, and I did this, only to find out at 7am that he had fussed because he pooped his diaper (rare at night for him) and it didn't smell when I checked him. Bad mommy needs to remember to check the diaper when he's not hungry!

I do this, too. M starts the night in her crib and if she wakes up around 5 we bring her to bed until the alarm at 6 or 7. I echo the comments above about this being my favorite time of the day. I just can't get over watching her wake up in my arms. I know she's warm, comforted, and secure and when she's next to me she wakes up so happy and ready for the day!
