Drinking Btwn ER and ET?

I have a party to go to tonight...there will likely be heavy drinking involved.  I was going to nurse a beer maybe the whole night and try and get home by 1...does that sound reasonable?

I had my ER on Wed. and will either have a 3dt tomorrow or a 5dt Mon., if all goes as planned.

TTC in 2008. Stage II/III endo, Hashimotos hypothyroid, low morph (3%).
2 cycles Clomid/Ovidrel/TI/Crinone=BFN.
IUI #1 - 4 Follistim/Ovidrel/IUI/Crinone = BFN.
IVF #1 - Antagonist w/ ICSI 4/10. 17 retrieved, 5DT of 2, BFN :(
IVF #2 - Long Lupron w/ ICSI 6/10. 15 retrieved, 3DT of 2, BFFN!!
Lap 7/21/10
IVF #3 - Clomid/Antagonist w/ ICSI 10/10. 14 retreived, 3DT of 3, BFP 10/20 but m/c. No HB 11/15/10 - D&C 11/17/10.
FET - 2 blasts, 1 survived the thaw. Transfer 2/19. Beta #1 3/1 375, Beta #2 3/3 885, Beta #3 3/8 4261, Beta #4 3/11 9005. U/S 3/8 1 sac 1 yolk, U/S 3/16 1 heartbeat 114bpm!

    I say that as long as you aren't going to wonder if it was that one beer that caused the cycle to fail (if you get a BFN, although I really hope you don't), then I say go for it.  I wouldn't drink heavily though.

    I think one beer wouldn't hurt :)  Are you concerned that friends will get suspicious if you're not drinking?

    this.  it would drive me crazy, but honestly i doubt 1 beer would hurt.

    I don't think one beer will hurt (since your eggs are gone and you are not in the 2ww yet), but I am also under the mentality that I have been doing this for so long and have tried the whole not drinking thing for an entire cycle and that didn't work so who knows anymore at this point.  But if you will worry about it, then don't do it.

    I'm sure it's fine but I personally wouldn't do it during an IVF cycle.  I've been drinking through my entire IUI cycles (even in the 2WW, and sometimes, I really overdo it) but I'm not drinking a sip during the whole month of my IVF cycle.  That's just me though and we're OOP for IVF so I just don't want to risk it.  I think if I had insurance, I would drink a tad in the cycle.

    Just for thought....one RE I saw said that drinking while TTC is fine....She said, "Do you thnk that France and Italy would even exist if you couldn't drink while TTC?"

    Since it is before ET, one beer isn't going to do anything.  You can't hurt embryos that aren't even in your body yet!

    I was told no drinking from the start of stims to beta.
    DX: Him: Super sperm Me: Diminished pituitary function due to tumor removed April 2008, MTHFR Hetero C677T & A1298C
    IVF #1-4=BFN IVF #5=BFP! U/S on 5/3 revealed TWINS!

    Really?  I was never told that, and we go to the same clinic!

    The nurse told me no heavy drinking during stims, and zero drinks after ER.  One drink during stims is ok.  She even said, if it helped you relax for the shot, go for it!

    Me: PCOs DH: Perfect!
    4 Fresh IVF cycles + 1 FET where embies didn't survive the thaw = 2 perfect little men!
