I think this mom has some really good points as a mother of a fellow preemie. What are yall's thoughts?
Personally, I wonder if the Duggars can have another child, considering the pre-e that led to their early delivery.
Re: Duggar related: what do yall think?
I'm torn on my feelings about this family. On one hand, I agree with Sarah in saying that the birth of the preemie is a sign to be happy to have 19 healthy kids and not push the boundaries of trying to have another child.
However, on the other hand the kids they have are well behaved, fed and cared for, as another poster pointed out.
My only thing with this is the fact that the older kids have to assume a "parent/buddy" role to the younger siblings, which might cut out on there time being kids. They might grow up feeling resentful of there upbringing and having so many siblings. Also, the lack of time that the family spends with each child has to be short considering they have 19 kids to go around.
kkh - I really didn't mean any harm by that at all... I just think they have been really really blessed being able to have 18 healthy, full term children - I think that #19 being born prematurely due to her pre-eclampsia is just a sign that HER body is not healthy enough to endure more pregnancies.
I'm REALLY sorry if my comment offended you - i KNOW that premature birth is not a PUNISHMENT at all - in M. Duggars case, I think it's just a sign that her body can't do it any more.
Kristi,
I'm sorry, I didn't mean to target you or make you feel that way whatsoever.
I was wondering if, because of Michelle Duggar's situation, if she physically can give birth to more because of the pre-e that was involved. Just because a child is born prematurely it is by no means meant to be a punishment to the parents or anything against the mother.
