Pregnant after a Loss

Petty Vent

I know this is probably me just being hormonal, but I am annoyed. We first told our parents and siblings we were pregnant.  From then on we told our families they could share the news with anyone else. We live far from our families so had no opportunity to tell anyone in person.  But the world spread to extended family.

Now DH's sister has been bugging him to call his grandma and tell her.  Well she already knows, MIL told her and we are fine with that.  Apparently she is hurt we didn't tell her in person and wouldn't acknowledge the pregnancy.  I think this is so childish and frustrating.  My grandparents found out through my parents and were congratulatory.  So after being bugged about it so much, my DH finally called his grandma to tell her we are pregnant, something she has known for a few months now.  So she is finally happy.  I just thought the whole thing was unnecessary drama.

 Ok vent over.

Re: Petty Vent

  • You aren't being petty . . . they were.  Some people are just extra sensitive I guess.

I still get weird reactions about why I haven't told them - I just tell them that after a loss I feel very cautious.

    congratulations!!!!
