There is no value to this post, whatsoever. I just feel like typing it up as I sit here, stewing, sipping on coffee at 11p.m.
Ahem.
He said: "Hmm. Oh yeah. Tomorrow is tax day."
Why was this worth mentioning? We filed our taxes in January. What should my response to this be?
His mother came over to babysit the baby (and DH) for three hours on Tuesday as I had several errands that needed to be ran and a meeting to attend. When I get back, I find that DS hasn't been put down for a nap all day. His sleeping schedule was totally out of whack. I asked DH why he wasn't put down. He said, "He wasn't tired, he kept waking back up." I said, "He's a baby. He needs to be swaddled and put down and if he wakes up, he needs to be coaxed back to sleep at least a couple of times before giving up and getting him back up. This is what works for us." He says, "Next time you need to give those instructions to my Mother."
Really? 'Cause I'm pretty sure you're a parent, too. I get that you can't be involved right now but maybe you should at least feign an interest in the routines we're establishing for our child.
DH insisted on moving our bed downstairs into Jackson's room so that he and I can sleep together, since he will be unable to climb the stairs for quite some time.
Why? We're not having sex. Your leg doesn't work and I'm tired. And you're a horrible sleeper and will ruin both my and DS's sleep schedules and at the moment, DS's sleep schedule and my ability to get uninterrupted sleep is just about the only thing that has kept me from killing you.
Lastly...
"Can I have a snack?" seconds before I sit down with my cup of coffee to write this inane post, after having done a bunch of cleaning and picking up after him and emptying his portable urinal, etc, etc.
"Sure, what do you want?"
"What are my options?"
I HATE that question.
Re: Things DH Has Said or Done to Irritate Me This Week.. TOTALLY Negative Post.
LOL at "What are my options?" DH will ask me for something to eat and then say "Well, what do we have?" UGH! I much prefer it when he hovers in the kitchen himself and randomly munches on things from the cabinets.
I'm sorry you're so annoyed with DH right now. You have every right to be. And I wouldn't want to share a bed with him either at this point, with his weird sleep schedule, etc. You need a break from BOTH of your kids every night! I use a snoogle at night to sleep comfortably, and DH has made comments about my "nest" or my "fortress" because he can't get near me. I like it that way right now. :-)
Enjoy your coffee. It's 2:40 am here and I just finished a bowl of cereal because I'm starving, and I have my GD test at 8am and don't want to eat right before hand (I know I could if I wanted to, but I'm convinced it will throw off my results, so I refuse to, LOL). :-)
LOL I LOVE my snoogle (still use it!) and it is in bed waiting for me. The "fortress" part is hysterical.
Good luck on your GD test. I think I'm the only person in the world who thought the orange drink was good. Hahaha.
Snickers bar? Wow. Mmm. Snickers....
Ha-ha-ha.
I had to jump in & say me too - where is that doctor?
And, sorry Kim, I totally understand why DH is driving you nuts. Mine is driving me up a wall too, but I can't really complain because at least he can get to the bathroom to pee & the kichen to pour himself gatorade.
He was awesome with LO's schedule when he was smaller, but seems to have forgotten how to "parent". I swear - I finally woke him to ask him to try his hand at DS because he has the pets all wound up and they woke DS up - and then he went to sleep. DS took a breath so DH decided "he was done crying" and put him in the crib - he wasn't even out of the room and DS started screaming and DH tried to get back in bed. Guess I am going to have to break down and nurse him because DH can't stand to comfort his baby. I mean, its not like he has to get up for work in the morning. If i have to worry about losing my house - shouldn't I at least get some help so I don't lose all the sleep?! lol.
GL with DH --- I hope he decided to observe more, speak less! ;o)
Oh that is so irritating all-around. Add to that the pure exhaustion that you're feeling with a newborn and I'm surprise you haven't run away!
FWIW- I loved the orange drink!!
LOL
Yum!!!!
It's stuff like this that makes me claim that I have *4* children. 3 of them are just minors;)
And I HATE when I'm just about to *finally* sit and rest and someone (anyone) asks me for something when they are fully capable of getting it themselves.

Thank you. I think he's stinkin' cute but you always wonder if you're of those parents, you know... with the kid who's not so cute but he's adorable in your eyes? LOL
Yeah, they really should give you ice for it. I just took it down like a shot but then thought, "Mmmm, it's like Orange Crush!" lol I guess do the whole close your eyes and pinch your nose thing? I wonder if the Fruit Punch variety is any better....
A) Jackson is super adorable.
