Hello everyone and happy Tax day! I hope no one is doing the last minute race to the post office tonight with tax forms in hand! (I did it more than once before I discovered Turbo Tax)

I'm going for my amnio tomorrow and looking forward to the ultrasound part of it. I'm also glad to be getting it over with and will be anxiously awaiting results. This perinatologist requires 2 days of bed rest afterwards, so we have decided to have DD spend tomorrow night at her Nana's and stay there most of Saturday so it will be easier for me to relax - she wouldn't understand why Mommy isn't running up and down the stairs or wrestling with her like usual. It will also be a nice opportunity for DH and I to spend some time together and also sleep in together on Saturday morning.

I've been having sinus issues for a few weeks now, but they are getting really bad this week. I thought I was getting a cold, but now I think it's just a combination of pregnancy and pollen - ugh.

Checking in. I've been experiencing numbing sensation in my back on my left side. My OB says the twins are probably resting on my sciatic nerve. The feeling doesn't hurt, just aggravating. Other than that, nothing new to report. Just counting down the days until my u/s on the 29th.

Hello everyone! Let's see...

- I'm pretty sure I bruised my SI joint because I can't sit for long, can't walk for long and can't lie down for long without tremendous pain when I do move or change positions. Makes for fun times, so I am constantly moving and not getting much rest. No numbness and tingling so it isn't sciatic.

- Heartburn is still large and in charge. Eating seems to fix it (temporarily), but then eating also causes me to buy larger and stretchier pants.

- I'm feeling plenty of kicks. This one is practicing roundhouse, donkey, front, high, and scissor kicks. Nice to know that they are still there and kicking. Haven't been able to catch them from outside yet so no luck for DH to feel them too.

scooby, will be thinking of you tomorrow & I hope all goes great & that you enjoy your resting time afterwards.

It's exciting to see my name moving up the list! Due date is getting closer all the time. I'm working full-time, but also in the midst of nursery prep. & being showered (had friends' shower last Sun. & family shower this Sun.)---OMG the clothes are so cute... Last weekend, DH painted the nursery, and it looks great, and new carpeting was installed today (I'm avoiding fumes as much as possible). This weekend it's time to put together the crib & 2 chests of drawers. Then we need to shop for glider, bookcase, toy chest, and more, and I need to plan out the nursery closet & get appropriate organizing stuff... lots to do. Sunday's family shower will be great, looking forward to it!

And as for me, I'm just tired. Sleeping at night is not very fun, I toss and turn from one side to the other. So afternoon naps are becoming an everyday necessity. And I seem to have fought off a cold that was bugging me on monday & tuesday.

So basically, all is good. Oh and I'm really behind on lining up infant day care for the fall. I need to get some good rec.s from friends & I keep procrastinating on making the calls...

Hi everyone. Got the results of my amnio this week and all is well with the LO. My friend came over to dinner on Sat with her sick baby and guess who caught the baby's cold? Sinuses are killing me, but starting to get better. Had my drs appt yesterday and all seems to be well. Got to hear the heartbeat for the 1st time and that was great. Husband was excited too. Found out that I am up 3 lbs from my pre-preg weight which is very surprising to me since I am very big already. Baby is measuring big too and dr. isn't worried as long as I continue to gain about 1 lb/week for the rest of the pregnancy.

Think that is it. And Scooby, good luck tomorrow. I'm sure everything will be fine. The anticipation of the amnio is much more intense than the actual procedure. And the ultrasound will make up for it ten times over.

I just went in today for my 1st internal. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Cervix is still closed but she did feel the babies head. She also did an ultrasound. She weighs about 6 lbs 3 oz and is about 21 inches long. She got a look at one of her leg bones and it looks like my LO is going to have some long gams one her. My fluid was measuring a bit low. Nothing in the danger zone, but she wants to keep an eye on it. My OB said to drink lots of fluids this weekend and she'll recheck it on Monday.

Good luck with the amnio. I got jipped at mine the tech was only looking at the head and heart and wouldn't let us look. Hope yours is nice and lets you see!

Aside from a case of poison ivy that has spread everywhere on me, (well, almost, I managed to not get it on my face or anywhere too uncomfortable.) things are going well here. DH and I are starting to make plans for our move to Connecticut. I can't wait to be closer to my family!

I have a new love, TUMS! It has become a daily necessity. My feet and ankles really hurt now. I hope I can make it the next month until my maternity leave, especially since they have planned a baby shower for that last week! Get to go to the dr tomorrow, and I get to pick up my comprehensive exam for my masters tomorrow, so there goes my weekend!

I had my 16-week early anatomy scan on Monday and everything looked great with the baby except it looks like the baby's umbilical cord only has one artery and one vein instead of two arteries and one vein. I was pretty anxious about this as a 2-vessel cord can indicate other problems. I made the mistake of googling it and found so many scary statistics. BUT, I am feeling much better today after talking with my OB about it. She told me that ultrasounds are picking up so much more these days than they used to and that every mom she's ever treated with this "condition" has delivered a full-term, healthy baby. So long as the baby continues to measure appropriately, there is very little reason to worry. So, it looks like I'll be going in for more ultrasounds than the typical mom would, but that just means more cute pictures of the baby! I have a fetal echocardiogram scheduled for May 4th... I'll feel much better after that. Don't get me wrong, I'm not blowing off the anatomy scan results, but I'm feeling more positive, less stressed, and am finding the dr's advice to not worry about this much easier to follow.

Saw OB on Tues, Baby looks good, placenta wise hasn't changed, still very low, so I will be off work for at least 4 more weeks.

Next visit includes the GD test - OH JOY!

I do get another u/s so that is the +side to all this, I only got to see DS 2 times the entire PG, I have already seen this little guy 5 times. I see the peri on Monday to confirm the placenta is still low. He is still definitely a boy, and is a squirmy trouble maker.

I have all kinds of aches & pains OB told me to get a support belt as I am huge and most of my abdominal muscles are hurting me!

Fighting a MONSTER of a bad cold . . . Missed 3 days of work and missed physical therapy all week.

I have OB on Tuesday and I may be starting STD sooner than expected. I was hoping to work as long as possible, but my SI joint and pubic bone are making it almost impossible to function anymore. Sad

Baby is super active and measuring BIG! I hope I can at least make it to my shower! Smile

I haven't been over here in a while to update (shame on me).

I had a growth ultrasound on the 8th and they think my little one is over 9lbs so I am scheduled for a c-section on the 23rd. 6 more days(or less if she makes plans of her own) until we meet our baby.

well i'm back on bedrest for uterine irritability and PTL. its modified so i can get up and walk around. they think it may be due to a UTI. so i'm on antibiotics and continuing on procardia.

i also have GD and am on insulin 4 times a day and testing 4 times a day.

so being on antibiotics and on insulin led me to getting a yeast infection. oh joy. not.

i was kinda glad to be home this past week. i was so tired and not feeling good. so it was kind of a blessing in disguise. i have pretty much slept this whole entire week. well sleep interrupted every 1-2 hours to get up to pee but other than that i've been resting. made an attempt to go to store to pick up a few things. it didnt go so well. i started cramping so back home i went.
