Organic Crib Mattress?

My MIL bought us the crib and the mattress. We had been planning on buying it ourselves, and I picked out a (somewhat) pricey organic mattress...which is what she bought us, but now I'm wondering, is it really worth the price difference? Should I return it and use the money to get more things for the nursery?

I don't know if it's worth the price difference, but we got the pricey organic crib mattress too.

FWIW, right now DD sleeps in the PNP in our room...which I'm sure isn't organic.

To me it was worth it and offers me peace of mind. There are so many other things you'll find become out of your control. This made me feel better. Not sure which one you got but ours is really heavy and makes changing sheets hard. But, I'm still happy I went with it.

I don't know which one you got or how pricey it was, I know some are reaaaaaaly pricey but here are a couple of reasonable options from allbeebaby and they also currently have a 15% off deal on all regularly priced stuff. Maybe you could return the expensive one and get a less expensive yet still organic?
