elders - how do you keep from going insane?

Since DH is still working, and I'm home by myself these days, it's really easy to start getting anxious about when I'll go into labor and how things are going to play out. How do you keep yourself busy?  I'm also starting to get annoyed by all the texts and facebook posts, like people think I won't announce when I have the baby or something!

Today is the original EDD that that the doctor gave me (though it's been moved a few times, hence my ticker), so it just got me thinking today!!

Re: elders - how do you keep from going insane?

  • That's why I'm still working everyday...and when I do get home in the evenings, I have a 2.5 year old that keeps me busy.  :)

  • I am going a little insane myself!  I've found getting outside for a bit, and even going to the grocery store help.

  • I'm not quite an elder, but I'm working until LO comes, and I'm usually exhausted when I get home, so I don't have much time to sit and wait and think!

  • Congratulations on EDD! I'm still working, though it's really hard to concentrate and think about much else. After I'm done working, I plan to sleep a lot, and try to get a lot done around the house - maybe doing housework will help start labor! I'd like to do some shopping but DH doesn't want me spending any $$, he's nervous about my unpaid maternity leave!

  • I'm finally going to be induced tonight! To stop me from going crazy I been spring cleaning lol
  • I am still working, although I am getting annoyed with my coworkers for constantly asking me when I am going to have the baby.

My family is the same way- they must think I am going to have the baby and then call them a week later.

I am trying to stay relaxed and upbeat but it can be hard!

  • I am honestly going nuts. I haven't worked since November (work put me on short term disability) and it has killed me. Now I am just ready for this little girl to get here! I do spend a lot of time on here Embarrassed and walking.
