Commuter Rail issues

Ladies,

Anyone else out there having issues making it all the way into the city without feeling like you're going to pass out at some point?  This literally has been my only issue since being pregnant.  I have a feeling the poor air quality is really effecting me.  I eat a good breakfast before I leave, I've been getting plenty of sleep, I drink cold water and take my coat off so I'm not too hot - all this and still by the time I near the JFK/UMass stop I can start to feel the blood draining from my head and start to get woozy.  I can't figure out why this is.  My worst fear is passing out on the train and I came close today!  Any ideas / solutions would be welcome!  Thanks!

  • I was going to suggest a cold bottle of water, but you already do that. Maybe it will help if you sit close to the doors of the train so you get some occasional new air coming in? GL

  • Can you sit closer to the door to get some fresh air when it opens?  Ugh, that's hard even not pregnant, it must be tough :(
  • What about bringing a small fan so that you can create some moving air near your face, that always seems to help for nausea? Good luck and hope you feel better.
  • Thanks ladies!  Maybe one of these days someone will give up their seat for a pregnant lady.....nah!

  • Could it be possible that, even though you eat a good breakfast, you're having a low blood sugar moment?  I used to feel that about to pass out feeling when I was pregnant, and if I'd have a little something with sugar, it always made me feel better.  I used to always carry around clementines or fruit snacks, etc. for this purpose.  Good Luck!
