I feel like my kids are ginormous. My friends are always saying how huge my kids are compared to theirs like it's a bad thing or they are unhealthy. I was chatting with a friend last night and my 18 mo old is much bigger than her 2 yr old and she made comments that made me think she was implying my DD is "too big".
DD weighs 33.5 lbs and is 35 inches tall.
ETA a PIP:

Re: How big is your 18 mo old?
DS is 18.5M and is almost 26 lbs. (at doctor appt. this week for ear infection).
We haven't had his 18M appointment yet so I'm not sure where he is percentile.
Our pedi has always stressed that their growth curve (how they progress on the chart) is way more important than anything else.
Your friend needs to bite it. Maybe her kids are too small. Did she ever think of that? LOL.
LOL!
LOL!
Big brother and sister are excited to meet the new baby! It's a GIRL!

At 18 months DD was 22.5 lbs and 32 inches.
At 2 she is 26.5 lbs and 33.6 inches.
DD is 23 lbs and about 32" tall. She's always been below the 50th percentile for weight and height, though. All babies are different, so I would try not to let the comparisons/comments get to you.
We get comments all the time, and sometimes they bug me, but I know what my DD eats and I know she's healthy.
My DD is 34 pounds - not sure how tall, but she's tall.
The pedi told us last time that there is absolutely no problem with her size, other than that people will think she's older than she is - and since she looks more like a 3 year old, strangers will make comments about how she's not at a 3 y.o. level yet.
I get this all.the.time.
but my ds was 35.5"tall and 34lbs.
He's in a size 8xw shoe.
Why do people feel the need to always comment. And also don't you find it funny that you don't see your own kid as big until you see another kid the same age!?
